Food For Thought This Week - Mango and Tomato Salsa

Sapa suka buah mangga? Angkat tangan.. (Saya!)...
Tomato? ..ni bukan buah la.. sayur. (ye ke.. sayur ke buah?).. hmm tak suka sangat kalau makan raw.. tp ok ler sekali sekala just for the sake of the nutritient.. konon nak bg kulit licin..



For those yg nak try resipi 'diet' snack pd waktu2 petang bleh la try.. or for lunch (aku tak boleh for lunch mkn ni jer.. rasa mcm tak puas melainkan ada bread and soup)..

This is a tangy, fruity and refreshing salsa that goes well with fish, chicken or meat.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutesIngredients:
•2 small mangoes, diced
•2 plum tomatoes, seeded and diced
•1/2 cup sweet onion
•1 jalapeno pepper
•1/3 cup chopped cilantro
•Juice of 1 lime

Preparation:
Combine chopped mangoes, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno and cilantro in a medium bowl. Squeeze two halves of a small lime over the bowl. Toss and allow to stand until ready to serve.
Serves 6.

Per Serving: Calories 73, Calories from Fat 3, Total Fat 0.3g (sat 0g), Cholesterol 0mg, Sodium 6mg, Carbohydrate 16.6g, Fiber 2.1g, Protein 1g

p/s: I add olive oil in the recipe. I pakai black pepper instead of jalapeno.. Cilantro (daun sup/parsli) tak pakai pun tak pe.

Thought: Boleh makan tomato lebih byk dgn resipi ni compare kalau nak makan buah tomato tu saja.
